Senior Focus


Annie's hobbies are photography, drawing, writing and remodeling. Her favorite T.V. show is Law & Order: SVU and her favorite flower is the sunflower. Her favorite food is pizza, but her favorite place to eat is Taco Bell. After high school Annie doesn't truly know what she wants to do yet. All she knows is that she wants a good job, and hopefully sometime in the future she would like to start a family of her own. All in all, she wants to make an impact on the world in some way.

Isaac Cook, a member of the yearbook and school newspaper staff, is a very good skateboarder and he really likes to watch Netflix outside of school. In school, his main goals this year are to make it to the state wrestling competition and to complete the entire school year earning more credits than needed and making honor roll. After high school Isaac plans to enlist and serve in the Marine Corps.

Shonta Sherrill, a senior at Keokuk High School has many interesting hobbies. These hobbies include cleaning her house, driving around, and playing with her cows. When Shonta graduates she want to go to college and become a CNA. Once she becomes a CNA, she wants to go to back to school to become a LPN and finally an RN.

ACT Prep


Keokuk High School offers ACT Prep sessions in English, Math, and Science. Each year students may take the ACT test. This test is used to determine the degree of a student's potential success in college. Scholarship applications often require ACT scores. More importantly, students who plan to attend college can receive automatic scholarships when they receive high scores on the ACT. For example, the University of Iowa will award students who have received a 33 ACT and a 3.8 GPA $8,500.00 a year.

Mr. Weigel


Mr. Weigel is the new World Geography teacher, His hobbies include  watching, talking, and analyzing sports. he also loves to play golf, football and basketball. He also likes to watch movies, listen to music, be active outside by running, bike riding, fishing, camping, or just soaking in the sun. he also really enjoys to travel and he is a big Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also really likes to cook, grill, and go to concerts.

Mr. Foster


Mr. Foster pictured on the left with his fiance, is the new chemistry teacher at Keokuk High School. His hobbies are sleeping, traveling (when he has the time), collecting beanie babies (he has 3500 and still counting), playing with his dogs, and eating. His favorite television shows are Law and Order SVU, Survivor, and Madam Secretary.  

Mr. Gilpin


Mr. Gilpin is another new face to Keokuk High School, and he brings numerous skills to the Chiefs. Gilpin is a teacher in both the science and math departments. He was a state champion wrestler back in Hamilton, Illinois, and brings this skill set to bolster the Chief wrestling program. He is a tinkerer, a fixer of cars, sewing machines, and anything that takes an analytical mind to repair. He is also a sports fan, and enjoys watching baseball and football. 

Ms. Moore


Ms. Moore is the new culinary teacher. her hobbies are, athletics, cooking and baking, crafting, and spending time with her friends and family.

Mr. Knipe


Mr. Knipe is the new band teacher here at KHS. He is originally from Fort Madison where is mother is currently the band teacher at the middle school. He is a trombonist. He was the manager of the University of Iowa Marching Band, and he received his bachelor's degree in music with his teaching certification. His favorite musical is Les Miserables.
